What’s The Best Time For Introverts?
Yesterday, during a coaching discovery session with a gentleman from the US, an interesting thing happened.
At one point Andrew said “I am sorry. I am an introvert.”
I said, “Don’t say that! There is nothing wrong with being an introvert” and went onto list the benefits of being an introvert.
Then I blurted, “There has never been a better time for being an introvert than it is NOW.”
“There has never been a better time for being an introvert than it is NOW.”
You DO NOT have to teach an introvert about social distancing OR avoiding large gatherings!
Other things remaining the same, lockdown, isolation, and quarantine should mean
- Reading Time
- Reflection Time
- Re-energizing Time
- Planning Time
- Analysis Time
- Imagining Time
- Doodling Time
- Writing Time
…. and a host of other healthy past-times. Finally, something to look forward to during turbulent times!
Now, imagine an extreme extrovert held up in a room quarantine for 14 days. That must be tough! Andrew and I had a good laugh.
There is nothing wrong with the labels you are given. It is how you notice your strengths and utilize them.
